At the Golisano Autism Center, service providers work together under one roof, providing families with a convenient and transformative one-stop approach to accessing a wide range of supports. Our team is available to assist individuals and their families, making the process of accessing care and resources easier and more seamless. Our current tenants include:

Autism Up

AutismUp programs develop social skills, readiness skills, sensory regulation, supported fitness, and recreation skills. Support services include parent and caregiver training, family support, special events, family gatherings, and community education. Easter Seals

Easter Seals, Upstate NY offers clinical, residential, and educational services to individuals and families. Their services include outpatient Primary Care and Mental Health, In-home Respite, Community Recreation, Community Habilitation, Individual Residential Alternatives, and specialized instruction at the Kessler Center school. The THRIVE@ESNY program at the Golisano Autism Center provides high school-age students the opportunity to apply and practice mastered skills in a safe environment. Holy Childhood’s Supported Employment Services

Holy Childhood Supported Employment Services assists individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities in accessing ACCES-VR services. Our staff offers intake assistance and ongoing support for those seeking competitive employment. We also provide informative meetings on job readiness. LIS MindCare, LLC- Dr. Laurence I. Sugarman, MD, FAAP, ABMH

LIS MindCare, LLC offers assessments, therapy, and parenting education for individuals and families. We provide professional mentoring, consultation, and training workshops to enhance therapeutic communication and mind-body skills such as hypnosis and biofeedback training. Dr. Laurence Sugarman, a pediatrician, specializes in person-centered strategies for positive change in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. For inquiries, contact us at LISMindCare@gmail.com.

Rochester Rehabilitation

Rochester Rehabilitation Supported Employment Services helps people with disabilities secure and maintain competitive employment. In partnership with New York State’s Vocational Rehabilitation program (ACCES-VR), we assist individuals in finding jobs, help employers fill vacancies, and support employees in adapting to their new work environment. Our services include developing work readiness skills, personalized supervision, employer interactions, job coaching and placement, on-site assistive technology training, work-based assessments, job readiness training programs, internships, direct placement services, and retention support.

Brooke Ward, LMFT

Brooke is a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes working with individuals and couples from a neurodiverse lens. Brooke has expertise working from a biopsychosocial framework that incorporates compassionate care in her therapeutic work. Specifically, Brooke has experience working with clients and families overcoming eating disorders (ARFID as well), late adult diagnoses of Autism and ADHD, neurodivergent perinatal mental health and parenting challenges, and couples where one or both partners are on the Autism Spectrum. Brooke also provides training and consultations to professionals in the community looking to learn more about Autism, and be more affirming in their roles. CP Rochester

The CP Rochester Article 28 Primary Care clinic provides Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech Therapy (ST), Psychiatry, Psychology, Dental, and Primary Care services.

The CP Rochester Article 16 Clinic offers OT, PT, ST, and Psychology services to individuals who qualify under the OPWDD waiver with the 95 exemption code on their NOD for Article 16 services. This clinic specializes in providing skilled long-term therapy to admitted individuals.

CP Rochester’s SAIL program is designed to enhance independence. It offers skill-based learning in sensory-integrated environments and community-based volunteer opportunities. The program focuses on emotional well-being, socialization, community involvement, self-advocacy, accessing safe supports, employability skills, benefits education, and building friendships and natural supports.

Dr. Mruzek, PhD, BCBA-D

Dr. Mruzek is a psychologist and behavior analyst specializing in autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities. His services include evaluations, counseling, and empowering caregivers. Happiness House

Our location provides four classrooms, including three non-integrated special classes designed for children requiring specialized programming, and one special class in an integrated setting. Prime Care Coordination

Prime Care Coordination provides personalized care coordination, understanding your unique needs and goals. A dedicated Care Manager will support you throughout your journey. Our experienced team is well-versed in available resources and services, receiving specialized training including autism-specific expertise. People Inc.

People Inc. provides a diverse array of support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, as well as health care services, senior services, services for the Deaf and hard of hearing, and affordable housing.  The Fun with Friends Afternoon Respite Program at Golisano enables parents and families to work, attend to other needs, or just have some time to rest and relax knowing that our trained staff are providing excellent care to their child. Open from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday we strive to provide an enriching environment where middle and high school students who have developmental disabilities can engage in fun activities that promote positive interaction geared toward their interest.  This program is offered at no cost for students eligible for OPWDD waiver services. Room to Bloom

The Sensory Sync UP class, led by a Special Education Teacher and supported by a Teacher Assistant, is a 2-hour session for a maximum of 6 children. It provides individualized speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy services based on each child’s needs. The class offers hands-on experiential learning in a sensory gym and classroom, incorporating various tactile and vestibular activities. Developmentally appropriate activities are tailored to each child’s goals, and sensory experiences are differentiated for success. Learn more at roomtobloomtherapy.com .

Their primary focus is to facilitate connections between autistic individuals and the essential services they may require. Beyond offering a listening ear, they are passionate advocates who provide invaluable guidance and assistance, empowering you to reach and achieve your goals.
